I've put these thick washers on a couple knives now. The surfaces aren't polished (might do that myself in the future) so there's some break-in, but the stability and smooth action is very nice. I know they'll only get better with time.

… if your knife was designed and tuned for bearings, be prepared for the action to be much different. I bought 4 sets to try in 4 different knives. I’ve pulled them back out of two (Pyrite and Nottingham Ultra4) because they became too stiff, even though I gave the bearings a high polish. They are so-so in a Divo Mash and fine in a Nichols Guppy. If you’re trying to slow down a guillotine action or simply want the robustness benefit of washers, then these may be right for you.
Nothing like the feeling of a good knife of washers. With the rise of bearings in almost every knife, it can be frustrating for someone that likes knives on washers, but since skiff makes these thick washers it solves that problem! Thanks skiff, keep up the good work!
