      Thick washers

I really had high hopes for these but they are entirely to skinny not thick enough they fit the pivot perfectly but they are definitely not the same thickness as the bearings at all and after full assembly I had to tighten it down to the point it wouldn’t open I really wish they would work as I work construction and bearings are a pain and my favorite knives don’t come on washers outside the good ol para 2 but I hope they get it dialed in cause that’s a amazing idea

Breaking in nicely on a Tempest MicroJet

I like the feel of nicely worn in washers, so I decided to pop them into a Ti MicroJet. So far after a week and lots of fidgeting it's smoothing out very nicely and should get a bit better. A small con is that it has been difficult to get the blade centered after the swap. There's no rub, but there is a noticeable lean to the show side that seems to persist no matter how I adjust.

Also, a note for anyone thinking of switching over a MicroJet: the detent on mine was exceptionally well dialed for bearings, but is a little too light for washers. It slow rolls and finger flicks open extremely smoothly, but when using the flipper tab I have to be intentional about preloading pressure before breaking it. Simply pushing on the tab usually results in a half-deployed blade

working great in my We Banter

I replaced the factory ball bearings in my We Banter with Skiff thick washers and I am pleasantly surprised with how smooth and controllable the action is. While both have pros and cons, I now prefer the thick washers and I continue to use them every day.
