The new bearing compatibility list is now live, check it out here!
Cage bearings that allow more balls to be placed around the knife pivot than standard cage bearings. Which provides more support for the blade and decreasing stress on each ball. The ceramic balls are captured in the disc but are still free floating to prevent binding.
Includes Grade 5 ceramic bearings pre-installed.
- Increased blade support over caged bearings of same size
- Improved ball pathing around pivot
- Less pivot screw tightening required
- CNC machined from solid phosphor bronze

This was my first Skiff purchase, just bought a Protech Mordax gridlock pattern in all black and while the factory steel bearings were good enough and would be fine for life I wanted to try Skiff bearings to see if they actually made the action better/faster/smoother. Overall it IS way more smooth VS the factory bearings however I’m not sure if it’s so smooth it slowed down!?! It’s not as audible (even with the aluminum scales) I added a very thing layer of lube on the bearings for corrosion resistance but not to the point it would gum up the bearings. I just think it so smooth it seems slower but it might be in my head. I do know it’s feels so good I’m not going to take it apart again to put the factory bearings back in. There is no need. This is an upgrade worth keeping and taking the time to replace. I’ll buy another set when I get a knife that uses bearings. I wish I could figure out what size my SOG TERMINUS XR uses. I’ll buy them tonight!

Perfect as always.
The best bearings ever!!!
Put the new Skiff bearings into my Tactile Mariner 2 and the difference was incredible.
Thanks and also for taking the time sending such a small order all the way to me in New Zealand, you can’t be making a huge profit out of this sale but you still took the time to fulfill my order.
Great company. Hugh.
