I use the 85w on my Sebenza. Great stuff. I use 10w on my bearing knives. Great service as always with Skiff.
Nice thick oil that stays put and works VERY well in my knives with phosphor bronze washers. Would not recommended for bearings though. I prefer the lighter 5 or 10 weight for knives with bearings.
I have used 10-weight Nano oil for lubricating the caged bearings and washers in my knives and wanted to try out the 85-weight oil to put specifically on detent balls, the holes they rest in, and the area they track on the blade surface in my knifes that have framelocks and linerlocks. The thicker oil does seem to cling better to these surfaces. So far I'm very happy with it.
I’ve been using nano oil for years, but always the 10w. I had no idea 85w existed but I was stoked to find this. Works very well!
